YSL Fashion

So I realized that I have not really been documentating my stay here in Paris, and desperately want to change that. So I'll try and write an entry on a daily basis and state what has happened, or at least three a week.

So today I went on a field trip to go see the Russian exhibit and YSL studios. My class and I were shown some sketches that he had done, his studios, some samples and old collections! It was amazing, some of the stuff there were dated as early as the 60's and everything looked crazy. Some things I would wear and others were something I dont even think Carrie could pull off. haha. but it was amazing to see. It was here that I was hit with the fact that I'm in Paris and able to go and see where the actual designers came from, and stand where they are.

I was able to take one pic of myself with the manicans which was kinda creepy, just because I've never liked "life-like" things that weren't actually alive. And these models were uber thin, i like compared my body to theirs, and it was pretty eye opening lol. they are way too skinny.

i'm really cold, and am all bundled up in bed! brrrrrrrrrr

i'm going to sleep early tonight because i have to wake up super early to go to drop add manana at school <-- cross your fingers i get the classes i want!!!

the apartment

So I probably should've started this blog a lot earlier to record EVERYTHING that I've been going through since my arrival in the wonderful city of paris, but seeing that this was the first time I have internet in my own house <-- blogging was something of a problem. Anywhoo I'll be doing more of it this week because i'll be bored. Wheres the boyfriend? He's down visiting family in the southern part of Spain (pretty cool). I'm stuck here though with all my classes and what not.

My arrival was a rocky one I got no sleep whatsoever because of all the turbulence which was less than comforting to say the least, and once I got to the airportI had to seperate from Jeremy and head over to the AUP people to hitch a ride to what would be my home for the next week FIAP, which is worthy of a complete blog entry of its own. What did I do the first day in Paris? Well it was event after event as I was bombarded with information and a picture was taken of me that will follow me throughout all of my AUP career, the ID picture <-- yuck. Seriously unflattering and taken with such a low quality camera, you can hardly see me! lol

Anyways enough of that I'm now in my apartment!!!!! Location: amazing, we have a supermarket, a patesserie, boulangerie, and delis right next to us. Not to mention that the train station is pretty close. Pictures will come soon but its super cute. The only problem now is paying electric, but we'll figure it out so it'll work. Right now all the heaters are off and I feel fine. which is good since heat takes up most of the electricity! lol okay i'm yawning i'm heading to bed!
